SCOM SP1 RTM Upgrade
So with the release of SP1 RTM I decided to upgrade my test setup which was running on SP1 RC. As I always do, I read the whole of the upgrade guide before diving in, I then completed all the the pre-reqs and then attempted the upgrade. The installation started and everything seemed to be going well until an error appeared stating that it failed to execute SQL script.

To see if this was a common issue and if there was a fix I googled the message details, error numbers etc but I didn't find anything useful. I continued my investigations by examing the install log and event logs and eventually found what was causing this error which was that the affinity mask settings in SQL were not set to automatic (being a test server this had been changed by a DBA). After checking the two box's to automatically set processor and I/O affinity masks for all processors the upgrade worked perfectly.
To check these setiings and alter as necessary connect to your SQL server in the SQL Management Studio and in the Object Explorer pane, right click your SQL servers at the top of the tree, select Properties the select the Processors link.
