User Roles & MomAuth.xml

User roles in SCOM and their scoping are all stored within the MomAuth.xml file which is located at %Program Files%\System Center Operations Manager 2007\SDK Service State. This file can be viewed as you would normally view any XML file using your favourite app or you can view it in more detail using Authorization Manager. This can be accessed as a snap-in within the MMC or by simply running AzMan.msc, once opened you can view the user roles and how they are scoped by selected Open Authorization Store from the Actions menu and selecting your MomAuth.xml file.


I think this is worth knowing and keeping in the back of your mind just in case you want to investigate any rights issues you might come across.

This is great to know! Now, can anyone tell me what all the permissions are?

We want to be able to give operators the ability to deploy agents.
